What we Believe

CREATION

The belief is held that the universe, earth, and all initial living beings, including humans, were brought into existence through direct acts of creation by God, as outlined in the Genesis narrative. It is also maintained that any biological modifications that have taken place post-creation are confined to variations within individual species.

GOD: THE DIVINE TRINITY

Our faith is centered on the belief in one God, who exists eternally in three distinct yet equally divine Persons. This is commonly referred to as the Holy Trinity, consisting of God the Father, Jesus God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. God, as the Creator and Ruler of all things, is perfect, all-loving, and holy, deserving of all glory and worship.

Genesis 1:1, 26, Matthew 28:19, Revelation 4:8-11

THE FATHER: OUR HEAVENLY FATHER

The Father is fully God, sharing the same divine essence as the Son and the Holy Spirit. He displayed His immense love for the world by sending His Son, Jesus, to sacrifice Himself for our redemption. It is only through Jesus that we can approach the Father. The Father also sent the Holy Spirit to assist us in living for Him. We can communicate with Him through prayer, and He listens and responds according to His divine will.

JESUS: OUR REDEEMER

Jesus Christ, the Son of God, is co-equal and co-eternal with the Father. He took on human form through a miraculous virgin birth, living a sinless life and offering Himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of humanity by dying on the cross. After three days, He triumphantly rose from the dead, demonstrating His power over sin and death, and affirming that salvation can only be found through Him. He ascended to heaven, where He was given all authority, and He will return one day to reign as the King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

Romans 1:3-4, Acts 1:9-11, John 14:6, 1 Timothy 6:14-15, Titus 2:13

THE HOLY SPIRIT: OUR GUIDE, COMFORTER, TEACHER.

The Holy Spirit is also fully God, sharing the same divine essence as the Father and the Son. He is present in the world to convict people of their need for Jesus Christ. Upon salvation, the Holy Spirit dwells within every believer, empowering them for ministry, granting understanding of God's Word, providing comfort during trials, and guiding them in righteousness. The Christian seeks to be led by the Spirit on a daily basis.

THE BIBLE: REVEALING GOD'S NATURE AND GRACE

The Bible serves as a divine communication from God to humanity, providing insight into His will, character, and grace. Through the accounts of His saving work and love in the world, the sixty-six books of the Old and New Testaments form the Inspired Scripture. These writings, originally penned by human authors under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit, hold utmost authority in our lives. They offer a comprehensive understanding of God and His intentions, eliminating the need for speculation or guesswork.

While the Bible is relevant to us, it is not primarily centered around us. Instead, it consistently directs our attention towards Jesus, who embodies the Word made flesh. As believers, we are called to embrace, study, and submit to the Word of God, recognizing that it reveals the ultimate purpose and culmination of all Scripture.

2 Timothy 3:16, 2 Peter 1:20-21, Luke 24:27, John 1:1, 14

HUMANITY: FALLEN YET REDEEMABLE

According to our beliefs, God initially created Adam and Eve in His own image and placed them in the Garden of Eden. Their purpose was to live in harmonious relationship with God and one another, reflecting their identity as His beloved creation. However, they succumbed to temptation and rebelled against God, believing the deceitful words of Satan. This act of disobedience introduced sin into the world, resulting in a fractured relationship with God, fellow humans, and ourselves.

As both a consequence of our nature and our choices, we are inherently sinful beings. Our transgressions have separated us from God, leaving us deserving of His righteous and holy wrath. Recognizing our inability to restore this broken relationship through our own efforts, we acknowledge our greatest need for the undeserved love and redemption offered by God alone. It is through His intervention that we can be rescued from the grip of sin and experience the restoration of our relationship with Him.

Genesis 1:27, 3:1-7, Psalms 8:3-6, Romans 5:12,19, Isaiah 59:1-2, Romans 3:23, Ephesians

2:1-3, 1 John 4:10

THE GOSPEL: THE REDEMPTION OF SINNERS

Despite the inherent sinfulness of humanity, God devised a compassionate plan to save and redeem a chosen group of individuals for Himself. The Old Testament provides insight into God's intentions to rescue His people from their transgressions. In the New Testament, we witness the fulfillment of this plan through the life of Jesus Christ. He lived a faultless existence, obedient to God, and ultimately sacrificed Himself on the cross to atone for our sins. On the third day, He triumphantly rose from the dead. This is the essence of the "gospel" or the "good news." Through the Holy Spirit's influence, we are drawn towards Christ, our Savior, and bestowed with the faith to believe in Him. "Whoever believes that Jesus is Lord and that God raised him from the dead will be saved." The gospel alone possesses the power of God to bring about salvation. It is an inexhaustible promise that satisfies our inner restlessness by reconciling us with God, granting us eternal life in His presence both in the present and the future. Salvation cannot be earned or attained through our own righteous deeds; it can only be received as a gracious gift.

Ephesians 1:4-5, Isaiah 53:1-11, Hebrews 2:9, 4:15; 2 Corinthians 5:21, 1 Corinthians 15:1-

4, Titus 3:5-6, 2 Timothy 2:25, Romans 10:13, Romans 1:16, Ephesians 2:4-9

THE CHURCH: THE PEOPLE OF GOD

We firmly believe that through confessing our sins to Jesus and genuinely repenting, God now perceives us as blameless and holy in our relationship with Him. No longer are we considered children of wrath; by His grace, we have become children of God, viewed by Him in the same manner as His Son, Jesus Christ. This is what the church refers to as "justification." The community of individuals who embrace this belief constitutes "the church." While our newfound connection with God is deeply personal, it is not solitary, for we have been adopted into God's family. We understand that it is our responsibility to gather together, both in large congregations and intimate settings, to worship God, proclaim and celebrate the gospel, and share our lives in unity for His glory.

Hebrews 10:14, Ephesians 2:19-22, Romans 5:1, 1 Peter 2:9-10, Acts 2:42-47

WATER BAPTISM & COMMUNION

It is our conviction that Jesus entrusted His church with two fundamental ordinances to be observed: baptism with water and communion. Through repentance from sin and faith in Jesus, the Scriptures guide us to undergo water baptism by immersion, symbolising the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus. Water Baptism serves as an external manifestation of our internal transformation; hence, we baptize believers who openly profess their faith in Christ. We baptise in “the name of the Father, the son and the Holy Spirit” when we baptise a believer. Communion, is a regular practice where the church partakes together to commemorate that Jesus alone is the Saviour who sacrificed Himself on the cross, in our place, for our sins, reconciling us to God. The bread symbolises Christ's broken body, while the cup represents His shed blood.

Matthew 28:18-20, Acts 2:38, 2 Corinthians 5:17, 1 Corinthians 11:25-26,

Matthew 26:26-29

THE BAPTISM AND THE GIFTS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT

We affirm that every believer receives the indwelling and seal of the Holy Spirit upon conversion. In addition to this transformative work, we uphold the belief in the baptism of the Holy Spirit (or being filled with the Holy Spirit) as a distinct and continuous encounter promised to believers, empowering them for ministry that exalts Christ. Furthermore, we encourage believers to seek and pray for the diverse spiritual gifts that the Holy Spirit bestows according to His will. All spiritual gifts, as delineated in 1 Corinthians 12:8-10, remain active and accessible to believers for the edification of the church and the glorification of God.

1 Corinthians 12:13, Ephesians 1:13, Luke 24:48-49, Acts 1:4, Acts 2:32-33, Ephesians 5:18,

1 Corinthians 12:11, Acts 2:39

End Times - The Last Days (Eschatology)

We affirm our faith in the individual, magnificent, physical, and soon return of our Savior Jesus Christ in carrying out the foretold message. We rely on the assurance of God that a time will come when He will eliminate sin, illness, death, deterioration, and the devil. Those who have turned away from God will face eternal separation from Him in the place of punishment, while those who have embraced the immeasurable blessing of His pardon will be granted eternal life alongside Him in Paradise. Upon His return, Jesus will usher in  the New Heavens and New Earth.

Revelation 19:11-16, Acts 3:20-21, Revelation 21:1-5

Pre Tribulation Rapture

The pre-tribulation position advocates that the rapture will occur before the beginning of a seven-year tribulation period, while the second coming will occur at the end of it. Pre-tribulationists often describe the rapture as Jesus coming for the church and the second coming as Jesus coming with the church.

1 Thess 4:13-18, I Corn 15-51-58, John 14:1-3

MARRIAGE

Marriage is a sacred institution established by divine authority, affirmed by the teachings in the bible, and is intended to be a lifelong covenant between a husband and a wife. It symbolizes the relationship between Christ and His followers.

THE GREAT COMMISSION

Given that God's ultimate goal for humanity is to seek and save the lost, to receive worship from mankind, to establish a community of believers reflecting His Son, and to exhibit His love and mercy to the entire world, the primary mission of the Assemblies of God within the Church is:

1. To serve as a divine instrument for spreading the Gospel globally.

2. To function as a collective entity where individuals can worship God.

3. To act as a conduit for God's plan in developing a community of saints who are being transformed into the likeness of His Son.

4. To embody a people who showcase God's love and compassion for all of humanity.

Galatians 2:10; 6:10 James 1:27

SANTIFICATION

The process of sanctification is viewed as a deliberate act of distancing oneself from all that is considered sinful, while simultaneously committing oneself entirely to God. This process is seen as a divine gift available to all followers of Christ, allowing them to attain a state of purity in heart and complete sanctification. This transformation is believed to be achieved through the work of the Holy Spirit, the cleansing power of Jesus' blood, and the teachings found in the Word of God.

(John 17:15-19; Acts 15:8-9; Romans 12:1-2; 1 Thessalonians 4:3-4; 5:23-24; Hebrews 2:11; 10:16-19)

DIVINE HEALING

According to the doctrines found in the scriptures, we have faith in our divine Father to safeguard and cure our physical ailments. We are convinced that divine healing, along with all the blessings of redemption from God, has been made available to us through the sacrificial death and triumphant resurrection of Jesus Christ; this blessing is accessible to all believers and is obtained through trust in the unwavering promises of our divine Father.

(Exodus 15:26; Psalms 103:3; Isaiah 53:4; Matthew 8:16-17; Mark 16:17-18; 1 Peter 2:24; James 5:14-15).

5 FOLD MINISTRY

Our church is purposefully structured to function in accordance with the apostolic 5-Fold offices outlined in the New Testament. Within our services and community, you will witness the active involvement of all FIVE offices (Apostle, Prophet, Evangelist, Pastor, Teacher) on a consistent basis. This intentional approach aims to effectively equip the believers and foster the growth and development of the entire body towards spiritual maturity.

Biblical Leadership in the church is Male

We believe Biblical leadership in the Church is Male, for that reason we only have Pastors who are men. Women lead our Worship, Women's Ministries and Kids ministries.
