Giving

At Freedom Church Africa we DON’T:

  1. Ask for more than God expects of you as a christian!

  2. Ask you to give more in every service with a 15 minute offering sermon!

  3. Ask you to give if you can’t afford food that week!

  4. Preach on money every 2-3 weeks!

  5. Promise you’ll get rich if you give a “seed offering” to our ministry

  6. Promise that “you can’t out give God & he will bless you & multiply your gift EVERY TIME you give!”

  7. Bribe you to give - “God has to bless your offering”

  8. Entice you to give so you can get rich - That’s covetousness!

  9. Ask you to give “love offerings” to the Pastor and “honour him” regularly  throughout the year!

  10. Our promise to you is that we will only preach on money 1-2 times a year!

  11. We DON'T teach a prosperity gospel! (This Doctrine is Evil & Cursed)

Tithes

  • This is a christian duty to obey this simple bible teaching…

             Malachi 3:10-11

Tithing  = 10% of your gross income

  • Jesus did preach on tithing...

           Matthew 23:23

“Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have neglected the weightier matters of the law: justice and mercy and faith. These you ought to have done (tithing - emphasis added), without leaving the others undone.

Missions

Last Sunday of every month

  • There will be a monthly missions sermon focusing on evangelism and a missions offering…that’s it!

Offerings

  • Is whatever you feel like above your tithe…

  • To be given cheerfully not grudging or manipulate by some greedy preacher or to only give if you expect something back in return!

      2 Corinthians 9:6-7

“But this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver.”

Church Building Fund

  • We want to move from a community hall to our own building, but this not the priority…. building a strong group of mature believers is what really matters.
